On October 25, 2023, ESCIR visited the National University of Singapore (NUS) and had a discussion with LEE Poh Seng, Director of the Energy Studies Institute (ESI) of NUS, on environmental protection and telemetry of hydrological stations, and the further cooperation between the ESCIR and ESI.
Zhang Muzi, Secretary General of ESCIR, briefly introduced ESCIR and said that both sides could cooperate in joint research and exchange of talents, and welcomed on behalf of ESCIR, Dr. Su Bin, Head of Energy and Environment Division of the Energy Research Institute of the National University of Singapore, to become a member of ESCIR.
Xue Lianfang, a member of ESCIR, shared China's experience on the role played by the integrated monitoring system of cascade hydropower stations in realizing effective, efficient, green, environmentally friendly and sustainable operation of hydropower stations, as well as hydrological station telemetry.
LEE Poh Seng introduced the research undertaken by ESI as a think tank under the Ministry of Trade and Industry of Singapore, and hopes to carry out research exchanges, capacity building, and experience sharing with ESCIR on energy technology standards, system modeling, security of supply, and carbon neutrality policies.
